On August 6, 2023, Ghana witnessed a wedding between Prince Alvin and Prince Shantel of the Omanye Royal Kingdom.
In a wedding ceremony that took over the internet, the bride and groom had a colourful traditional wedding ceremony before crowning their love with a white wedding and a spectacular royal wedding reception party.
The Omanye Royal Kingdom then took a trip to the Aqua Safari Resort to compliment their celebration of love with a family bonding time and a host of other activities.
Weeks after the wedding ceremony, a short video documentary by Felix Anaman Films highlights the beautiful celebration of love between Prince Alvin and Princess Shantel in what can be termed as cinematic beauty.
Her Royal Majesty Queen Vickylextar Beatrice Naa Manye Fofo Okang-Sowah said of the wedding and its planning:
“Look how beautiful it is when we all come together in love. It’s really a great pleasure to be here. And as much as we are celebrating the love of Prince Alvin and Princess-in-waiting Shantel, this is something that is so much bigger than just a traditional wedding.

“This whole thing was born from … I’ll say from heaven. So much lead to this dream come true today.”
A family member who broke down with tears of joy during his speech said:
“First and foremost, we gotta thank God because God is good. And as Queen Vickylextar is here, Shantel went through so much and to see where she is at today, it’s just [breaks down into tears].”
From the brightly coloured Kente-themed traditional ceremony to the luxury wedding ball, family and guest shared some words of love with the bride and groom of the Omanye Royal Wedding.
“Prince Alvin and Princess Shantel, your union exemplifies what it means to live a life in faith and in love. There are people here from all over the world who have traveled journeys to witness the start of your marriage journey. This is only possible because of love,” on of the bridesmaids said during the wedding reception party.
“Prince Alvin, you are one of the most strongest people I’ve met yet one of the most caring. I’ve witnessed Princess Shantel grow and blossom and take ownership of who she is in Christ. It’s been a joy seeing her victories and seeing you shine as the amazing woman of excellence that you are.
May your love shine so bright as you travel life’s path with God as your light."
She added wishing them well.
And of course, there was a kiss the bride moment.
The Omanye Royal Kingdom is led by Her Royal Majesty Queen Vickylextar Beatrice Naa Manye Fofo Okang-Sowah from the Dowuona Royal Family of Osu, Accra Ghana.
Omanye Kingdom is a multinational community governed by godly principles. It is the only kingdom, according to its members that is solely rooted in Christ. The kingdom claims it is the true definition of the royal priesthood mankind is called to be as stated in 1 Peter chapter 2 verse 9 in the Bible.
It reads in the Bible:
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
